He formed his own company in 1984 and developed this Hammerhead design deck as his signature pro model. Hosoi skated vert with a grace and style that blew his competitors away. He left Powell to join Dogtown but after Dogtown went bust he joined Sims Skateboards. Hosoi is a professional skateboarder who was first sponsored by Powell Peralta in 1979.
